Map the spaces that matter
- Cashier / POS area
- Back office and meeting rooms
- Warehouse or stockroom if staff need handheld scanners
- Customer seating or lobby (guest WiFi)
Confirm power and mounting
Access points need nearby power (or PoE) and a clean mounting location on ceilings or high walls.
Separate staff and guest traffic
Plan for at least two SSIDs: private staff WiFi and a bandwidth-limited guest network.
