Slow WiFi is one of the most common home internet issues. Before opening a ticket, work through these checks — many problems clear up in a few minutes.
1. Restart your modem/ONU and WiFi router
Unplug the power from your ONU (or modem) and WiFi router. Wait 30 seconds, plug the ONU back in first, wait until the lights stabilize, then power on the router.
2. Test with a wired connection
If possible, connect a laptop with an Ethernet cable. If wired speed is fine but WiFi is slow, the issue is wireless — not the fiber line.
3. Move closer and reduce interference
- Place the router in a central, open area — not inside a cabinet.
- Keep it away from microwaves, cordless phones, and thick concrete walls.
- Try the 5 GHz network for nearby devices; use 2.4 GHz for farther rooms.
4. Check how many devices are online
Streaming 4K, large downloads, and many phones on one network can saturate bandwidth. Pause heavy downloads and retest.
5. When to contact AIO Wireless
If wired speed is also slow, LOS/PON lights look wrong, or the problem lasts more than a day after these steps, contact support with your account name and a short description of what you already tried.
